How much does it cost?
Right now, it’s free! That may change in the future.
I am not a surf shop owner; I am an individual surfer. Why should I join?
As a member of the SurfboardTimeshare, you’ll be able to exchange private messages with surf shops, surf instructors, and surf camps all over the world. Take advantage of their expertise to plan your next surfing trip. You’ll find this web site is an excellent resource for board rentals.
As an individual surfer, why would I lend someone I don’t know my good surfboard?
You don’t have to, and you shouldn’t unless it’s a trusted friend. We encourage you to share one of your old boards, but it is not required. But it’s a cool way to make new friends! Consider the board that you learned to surf on some years ago, that has been retired to the shed. Maybe it has a little ding that a vacationer or traveler wouldn’t be bothered by, if it means saving some money or not missing out on a great swell. Dust it off and make sure that it’s not rotted out or waterlogged, and that it’s still safe to ride. Maybe it’s just too big or too small for you now, but just because it doesn’t suit you anymore, does not mean that it isn’t perfect for a person who might like to visit your neck of the woods. Check the fins and the leash for safety, and you’re all set!
Will my private contact information be kept safe?
Yes! Other members will only be able to contact you through the SurfboardTimeshare.com private messaging system, unless you choose to share your contact information with them.
How will I know when surfers want to contact me?
When you enroll, you provide your email address. When another member sends you a private message, you will receive an email notification from Surfboardtimeshare.com. Your email address will be kept private by our system.
Can I use the SurfboardTimeshare.com web site to meet other single surfers?

What are the steps that I need to follow next?
1. Read the SurfboardTimeshare.com Terms and Conditions. Complete the Join! form. You'll be able to add a photo of yourself now, or at a later time if you'd like.
2. After your membership has been approved, log in by clicking on the link that arrives in your email inbox, and set up your membership password.
3. 3. If you want to rent or share any boards, in the “Manage Surfboards” area that you’ll have available to you once you log in, upload information about at least one surfboard that you own and that you’re willing to rent or share. You’ll be able to upload a photo of the board if you have one, or come back to do that another time.
4. Also under “Manage Surfboards”, select “edit locations” and associate at least one surf spot with your board, so that it will become available in the “Search for Boards / Locations” area of the site. If your local break is not already listed as an available spot, you’ll have to set it up using the “Add a Surf Location” page first, and then return to “edit locations” under “Manage Surfboards” afterwards to associate your surfboard with your location.
