Fenway, 6/7/10

I popped in at Fenway at around 6:00 PM tonight for a quick session because the forecast called for some small, (two foot) but clean waves. I arrived and found a dozen guys in the water. I checked first, and saw an occasional ridable set come through, so I decided to go in.

I wore my paddle-gloves, and my hands were a little cold. It’s funny, how they didn’t bother me a few days ago in Newport. I can’t imagine that there is much difference in the water temperature between the two places, a couple of days apart.

It wasn’t really worth going in. It was not clean as had been forecast, and the ridable waves were few-and-far-between. I’m not sure what so many guys (kids) were doing in the water. After 45 minutes, I decided to get out and go back to work. There will be other days better than this. At least I got a little exercise.
